Tour Summary

In this tour we will be visiting the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Pollonnaruwa, the Minneriya National Park, the Dambulla Rock Temple, Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Nuwara eliya the Little England of Sri Lanka, trekking in Horton Plains and Ella, a train ride to Ella, bird watching in Bundala National Park, a safari in Yala and at the end of the tour relax by the beach in Bentota and visit the turtle hatchery in Kosgoda.


1st

day

Airport, Negombo

Arrive at the Airport & warmly welcomed by a Seelaan representative and proceed to Negombo. Overnight in Negombo.

2nd

day

Sigiriya

Breakfast at the hotel. Then proceed to Sigiriya.
Lunch at outside restaurant in Sigiriya.
Evening visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is one of the World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka.
Overnight in Sigiriya.

3rd

day

Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Minneriya

After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa, which was the 2nd capital city of ancient Sri Lanka, built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, and a world heritage site.
Sightseeing in Pollonnaruwa.
Lunch at outside restaurant in Habarana.

In the evening embark on a game drive in Minneriya National Park to see large herds of wild elephants.
Back to the hotel & overnight stay in Sigiriya.

4th

day

Dambulla, Matale, Kandy

After breakfast proceed to Kandy via Dambulla. On your way to Kandy visit Dambulla Cave temple which was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and is a World Heritage Site.
Lunch at outside restaurant in Matale
Then proceed to Kandy. Check into your hotel & relax.
Overnight in Kandy.

5th

day

Kandy, Peradeniya

Breakfast at the hotel & leave for sightseeing in Kandy.
Visit the Dlada Maligawa the temple which houses the Sacred Tooth Relic of The Buddha, is the most sacred Buddhist shrine in Sri Lanka.

After lunch visit Peradeniya botanical garden which is renowned for the collection the variety of Orchids, and has more than 300 varieties of Orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees attache it is the National Herbarium.
Overnight in Kandy.

6th

day

Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at hotel & then proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en route visit to a tea plantation and a factory to see the manufacturing process of world’s best Tea.
Upon your arrival do a sightseeing tour in Nuwara Eliya town and walk around Lake Gregory.
“Dubbed the ‘Little England of Sri Lanka’, Nuwara Eliya is located in the thick misty hills of this paradise isle.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

7th

day

Nuwara Eliya

Early morning with a packed breakfast, leave to Horton Plains located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. The plains located over 2000 meters high and covered with grasslands, thick forests, beautiful waterfalls and rocky boulders and lakes.
Return to hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

8th

day

Ella

Breakfast at hotel.
Catch the train to Ella for an unforgettable train ride through a most picturesque landscape. We will pick you from Ella station. Ella is a beautiful small village in Sri Lanka's hill country with little more than a handful of shops, hotels and guesthouses, but it has an almost perfect climate and occupies a very scenic vantage point, with views on a fine day stretching right across the South Coast of Sri Lanka.
Overnight in Ella.

9th

day

Ella, Horton Plains

After breakfast do a trekking in Ella.
Visit Little Adam’s Peak.
Check in to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
Overnight stay in Ella.

10th

day

Yala

After breakfast leave for Bundala National Park located within the southern dry zones consist of an amazing thorny scrubs, waterways, lagoons and golden sand dunes, is particularly popular among bird lovers to see the bird life. Bundala is a wintering site for migratory birds.
Return to hotel & relax in the evening.
Overnight stay in Yala.

11th

day

Yala

Early morning do a safari at Yala National Park which is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. Yala is the Sri Lanka's most popular wild life safari destination. Popular for Leopards, Crocodiles, Wild elephants, Deer, Bear, Peacocks and may varieties of birds including migratory birds such as flamingos. .Return to hotel in the evening & relax

12th

day

Bentota

After breakfast proceed to Bentota.
Bentota and its breathtaking sandy beach pretty much transforms your dreams and visions of a tropical paradise into an everyday reality. This secluded crescent shaped beach is the perfect place to sit back, relax.

You may visit a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda.
Watch the Sri Lanka’s best and most stunning sunsets and sunrises. Enjoy water sports in Bentota.
Overnight in Bentota.

13th

day

Colombo

After breakfast leave for Colombo. The city of Colombo is Sri Lanka’s commercial capital. The most populated city is home to many sites from colonial times to newer developments. Visit the city’s main shopping centers & restaurants to indulge in some shopping & to enjoy Sri Lankan cuisine.
Overnight stay in Colombo.

Colombo, Airport

Leave Colombo in time for your departure flight.
